Distilled or purified water has had all of the toxins and chemicals removed from it. Distilled water has been linked to better wellness, especially in areas where the water is so contaminated that it is unfit for human consumption. Some of the tests done in less developed regions of the world, and even in certain areas in America, have indicated through analysis that the water is dirty, contains traces of feces, and is therefore prone to cause illness.
So, this dirty water is essentially boiled to rid it of contaminants, and the steam from the boiling is collected in a separated container. When the steam cools and once again becomes water, the result is purified or distilled water. The disadvantages of distilling water are that the process uses machines which need to be cleaned regularly. This factor makes distilling water a costly and time-consuming activity. Distilling water also strips it of the fluoride necessary for healthy bones and teeth. Hard water is full of not only fluoride, but other essential minerals. This means that when the water becomes soft, or distilled, the essential minerals are lost, and need to be accounted for in another part of the human diet.
The advantages of drinking distilled water are also numerous. Water is the most essential thing for the proper functioning of the human body, apart from oxygen. A test has been conducted to show that distilled water actually carries out mineral deposits, to help people to avoid painful conditions such as gall stones. Distilled water eliminates many of the sources of water-borne diseases. One of the most prominent causes of viruses is animal feces traces in our drinking water. This water has been treated, but not as thoroughly as distilled water has.
Much like spring water, distilled water can be bought in supermarkets. The buying of distilled water is fairly cheap, though it is becoming increasingly commonplace for people to add some kind of purifier to their system to ensure they are only drinking the highest quality water.
